A COW was spotted roaming on a busy road in Hewish this morning (Wednesday, June 28, 2023).
The animal was walking near the A370 in Hewish, near Puxton Park. Police were called to the scene and attempted to lead the cow back to its field.
A spokesperson from the Avon and Somerset Police force said: "We were called at around 8.50am today (Wednesday, June 28) to West Rolstone Road, in Hewish, following a report of a cow in the road near the A370.
"Officers attended and the cow was safely led back into a field by 9.05am."
Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries to the cow, nor any accidents caused as a result.
