BRACE yourselves - it looks like we can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms in Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon this afternoon (Sunday, July 9).
The Met Office is forecasting a bright start to the day.
But we can expect scattered showers breaking out from mid morning and continuing through the day.
Then around 4pm it is likely that there will be heavy downpours and thunder and lightning in Weston.
There will still be some sunny indertbals in between.
It will feel fresher than yesterday, with a maximum temperature expected to be about 22 degs C.
It's a similar story for Clevedon and other parts of North Somerset, although the former is expected to be hit by thunderstorms at around 1pm.
