A TEMPORARY one-way traffic system is being put in place outside a Weston primary school from next week.
The restriction will come into effect in Kewstoke Road from next Monday (July 31).
The measure is needed to accommodate scaffolding for important roof replacement works at Kewstoke Primary School.
The required scaffolding will be located beyond the school walls and onto Kewstoke Road, preventing two-way traffic from safely using the route.
The one-way system will allow single-file traffic to continue along Kewstoke Road, heading eastward from Weston towards Worle.
North Somerset Council is investing £1.6million to make these improvements to Kewstoke Primary School.
The scheme includes replacing the roof, and a small extension to improve toilet facilities and the school’s offices and staff rooms.
The works form part of our wider strategy to ensure every child in North Somerset is able to learn in a high-quality environment that makes them feel valued.
Most of the construction is planned to take place during the school summer holiday to limit disruption to the school.
