IT has been 10 years since eight friends broke the Guinness World Records' record for the 'longest marathon on a bouncy castle by a team.'
In August 2013, the team from North Somerset completed a 36-hour bouncy castle marathon at Sand Bay to raise money for various charities, including the RSPCA, Help For Heroes and Great Ormond Street.
Despite wind and rain through the night, they set the new record, five hours longer than the previous benchmark.
Kelly Toogood, aged 23, took on the challenge to raise money for Weston Hospicecare.
Speaking at the time, she said: “It went amazingly, the whole weekend was a blast. Luckily the sun came out to dry us all off and we finished with smiles.”
Other members of the team included Sian Beckingham and Jasmine Hole, both aged 20, Jayne Gibb, aged 21, and Pete Temlett, Ashley White, Adam Nelson, and Corey Thomas, all 23.
