The Black Cat Micropub receives raving reviews on TripAdvisor

The Black Cat Micropub is located on the High Street and serves everything from refreshing drinks to tasty bar snacks.

Posting on the TripAdvisor website, one commenter said: "A hidden gem!

"We were recommended here by our B&B hosts and it more than exceeded our expectations. A wonderful atmosphere, and a great selection of ales and ciders to suit everyone. If you're in Weston I would highly recommend you try it out."

Another added: "The best choice of beer and cider in Weston-super-Mare, I always stop by whenever I'm in town.

"Dog friendly which is also a bonus."

One resident said that they wished they had known about the pub before their visit earlier this year. They said: "We called in here this afternoon after passing it many many times.

"I actually (accidentally) saw it on TripAdvisor and knew we had to try it as the reviews are (quite rightly) fantastic.

"As residents of the town we were so happy to find somewhere with great service, a fantastic choice of ales and ciders and a lovely atmosphere. Our only regret is that we didn’t find it before.

"Excellent choice of ciders, which is rare and so chilled, with great music. The guy there was so nice and we found the whole experience spot on."

One customer concluded: "What a fantastic little micropub this is - easily the best beer in Weston and a lovely atmosphere as well!

"The regularly changing list of beers is curated expertly by the owner and features beers and ciders from the very best producers in the country.

"It's also very reasonably priced for the quality of product you're getting. The snacks are awesome too!

"There's always a good crowd of regulars in but it's super welcoming for newcomers too - we've brought loads of people here and everyone has loved it.

"Very dog-friendly (they always get a treat), though bear in mind it is small so they must be well-behaved.

"Long live The Black Cat! It has become one of our go-to spots in town and we look forward to many more visits."
