A FREEHOLD investment costing £1.875 million is due to be sold at an upcoming Acuitus auction.

The auction of the Travis Perkins trade counter on the Winterstoke Commercial Centre will take place on November 2 at 1pm.

The investment currently generates rent of £136,399.

The 12,929-sq ft property is let to Travis Perkins on a lease until 2031 with five-year upward-only rent reviews geared to a minimum uplift of 3 per cent per annum compounded.

It is thought that the current rent will rise to a minimum of £158,123 by 2027.

Charlie Powter, from Acuitus, said: “We have seen a number of trade counter properties selling successfully at auction this autumn.

"Investors are looking for assets which provide rising income from established occupiers on large plots with low site coverage. This investment offers buyers the opportunity to tap into this important sector.”

Three other trade counter investments in Newmarket, Cannock and Horwich will also be included in the auction.
