THE South West's "most terrifying" haunted attraction opened its doors at Puxton Park last weekend.

Phobia, the Banwell park's Halloween-themed attraction, held its opening night on Saturday, October 21.

The event will also take place between 7pm and 10pm on October 26, 27, and 28.

As stated on the Puxton Park website, this is "the newest and most terrifying haunted attraction in the South West."

Attendees can expect to enjoy, or rather, survive, a terrifying tractor ride, a doll-themed house of horror, a dark wood and much more.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the park outlined what's on offer: "Haunted Tractor Ride: Climb aboard the cursed tractor and journey through the haunting heart of Puxton Park. The unknown awaits, but be warned, it hungers for your fear.

"Dolls House of Horror: Step into the cursed realm of sinister dolls. Each doll has a story to tell, but they're not the type you'd want to play with.

"The Asylum of Insanity: Enter a world of madness and despair. The walls of this forsaken asylum hold the secrets of the tortured souls who once roamed these halls.

"Freak Show: Witness the bizarre and the macabre as our performers shock and astound you with their grotesque talents. But beware, their hunger for attention knows no bounds.

"The Dark Wood: Venture into the depths of the ancient forest, where the trees whisper secrets and the shadows hold malevolent secrets. What lurks in the darkness?"

A spokesperson from Visit Weston-super-Mare added: "There's a seriously good programme of spooky and scary Halloween events going on in and around Weston-super-Mare this week.

"To find out all that's happening, take a look at our special Halloween guide here www.visit-westonsupermare.com/whats-on/halloween.

"There's a Zombie outbreak at Mendip Activity Centre, the haunted The Grand Pier and what is billed as the newest and most terrifying haunted attraction in the South West with Puxton Phobia at Puxton Park Tourist Attraction to name just a few."

This event is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) at all times.

It is also advised that anyone with epilepsy or photosensitivity should not enter the mazes due to the use of strobe lighting. Pregnant women should not enter the mazes due to trip hazards, strobe lighting and scare jumps that may cause distress.
