A WESTON pub located just two minutes from the seafront and town centre has been sold to Trust Inns.

The Bear Inn, which opened its doors in 2012, can be found on Walliscote Road. It contains 23 guest rooms, two bars and a skittle alley.

The sale of the business was announced by specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, on behalf of Joint Fixed Charge Receivers’, James Liddiment and Paul Greenhalgh of Kroll Advisory, c/o Honeylark Ltd.

The business was sold as an investment opportunity, which produces £62,400pa.

A spokesperson from Trust Inns said: “We continue to seek and acquire pubs and diversified pub business nationwide, which offer opportunity for growth development and longevity in the sector.

"The Bear fits with our objectives and we are pleased to welcome it into our estate.”

Richard Wood, regional director at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: "The property attracted strong interest resulting in a best and final bid process, culminating in multiple bids. This shows the renewed demand we are seeing across the south for tenanted pubs.”
