A LOCAL man is preparing to publish his new book detailing his experiences representing cricket clubs throughout Somerset.
Nick Evans, who used to represent Somerset Cricket Club, Glamorgan County Cricket Club and more recently Weston-super-Mare Cricket Club, will be publishing his book of memoirs on November 11.
A launch event will be held in the lounge bar at Weston Cricket Club from 12pm until 2.30pm.
The price of the book is £15 plus £5 postage if outside Weston and can be purchased by emailing n.evans915@btinternet.com.
All proceeds from the book, which is called Not In, Not Out: Memoirs of a life in sport and sales, will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
These funds will help the charity continue their lifesaving work. According to the organisation's website, one in eight men will get prostate cancer, illustrating the need for continuous research.
