GREAT Western Railway (GWR) has scheduled four additional services to run this Friday (November 10) to help people get to and from Weston Carnival.

The much-anticipated carnival will start at 7pm and is expected to draw in a "large" passenger flow.

A queuing system will be in place at Weston Station to help manage the crowds.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the carnival team said: "Our thanks to the fab team at GWR helping us to help you.

"GWR are happy to support local events when possible. We have four additional train services planned for this weekend's carnival at Weston-super-Mare, these additional services will allow passengers to see all the carts before travelling home safely.

"We will also have a queue system in place at Weston Station to manage the large anticipated passenger flow and allow people to enter and exit the station safely."
