Different to when we lived there, there was not a bandstand and no lights hanging around."Weston Mercury: Newsagents in Locking, date around 1963.Newsagents in Locking, date around 1963. Remember the Co-op milk depot opposite where I used to fetch milk and eggs for mother paid with plastic milk cheques earned from returned bottles. Glass not darned plastic!"

Another added: "We used to get off the school bus and straight in there to buy sweets."Weston Mercury: Bar and Arcade.Bar and Arcade. (Image: Joe Jones/We Grew Up In Weston-super-Mare)Weston Mercury: Bowling Alley.Bowling Alley. (Image: Eddie Matusiak/We Grew Up In Weston-super-Mare)
