THE renowned high seas pantomime adventure Dick Whittington is set to thrill Weston-super-Mare this December.

The Playhouse Theatre panto tells the tale of Dick Whittington and his faithful feline companion on their exciting venture through London and beyond.

The blend of side-splitting humour, dance performances and unexpected surprises is sure to make this year's pantomime an unforgettable experience.

Linda Lusardi, first known as a popular model and a previous Playhouse performer in Snow White and Cinderella, will bring her talents to the stage to play the villainous Queen Rat.

Derek Moran, a children's TV presenter known for his roles in Jack and the Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty, will play the Idle Jack.

Michael Goble, performing his fifth pantomime at The Playhouse, returns as the Dame, Sarah the Cook.

General manager Mark Thompson said: "This year, as I reach my 10 year anniversary of heading up The Playhouse, we’re delighted to be welcoming back the best of our pantomime stars across that period.

"Each cast member has been picked because they’ve brought something special to our previous pantomimes and have left a lasting impression on not only us, but our audiences too.

"As we put them all into one show, we’re expecting to create a fantastic festive experience not to be missed.

"This really is going to be the best of the best as we go on a fun-filled journey for the whole family."
