A YELLOW weather warning for rain has been issued across the South West, which could put a spanner in the works if you had outdoor plans over the next few days.

It is forecasted that there could be heavy rain in Somerset, North Somerset and Devon from 9pm tomorrow (Friday, November 17) until 3pm on Saturday (November 18).

A spokesperson from the Met Office said: "Another spell of heavy rain is likely in this area Friday night and Saturday morning."

Here's what to expect:

  • Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
  • Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible.
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.

If your property is impacted by flooding, one of the first things you should do is contact your insurance company and follow their advice.
