THE mayor of Weston, Cllr Ciaran Cronnelly, got festive this weekend at The Grand Pier's Christmas light switch-on.
Residents were invited to pop along to take part in range of arcade games and rides, as well as enjoy the light switch-on.
Some cast members from Dick Whittington also attended to advertise the panto at The Playhouse.
The Christmas tree features artwork submitted by local children for the Design a Christmas Bauble competition. The winner was a nine-year-old girl called Isla Edney.
Posting on Facebook, Cllr Cronnelly said: "It was brilliant to watch The Grand Pier Christmas lights be switched on tonight - look at the size of that tree!
"Congratulations to Isla who won the Pier's Christmas Bauble competition and switched on the lights, her design was fantastic and can be seen on the front of the tree.
"Some of the cast from Dick Whittington were also present."
