Members of Axbridge District Rotary were in Axbridge Farmers Market on Sunday to collect donations and food contributions for Cheddar Valley Foodbank.
They collected a substantial 57kg of food and £125 in cash.
All donations will be utilised by the foodbank before Christmas.
Axbridge District Rotary issued their gratitude towards the locals, saying: "We would like to thank the generous people of Axbridge for their help."
