THE magic of Christmas was brought to young patients at Bristol Children's Hospital with a special visit by The Grand Pier's very own Grinch.

Yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, December 19), the Grinch left the Weston pier's Grotto to pay a special visit to the hospital, spending quality time with each and every child.

The Grand Pier also donated 170 gifts to the hospital, a symbol of the 170 hospital beds within the building.

The gifts included monster trucks, cuddly toys, board games and action figures.

The gift-giving scheme was made possible through generous funding from the Axentis Michael Charity Trust.

Kerry Michael, trustee and owner of The Grand Pier, said: "The Grand Pier is committed to spreading joy and happiness, and what better way to do so than by bringing the magic of the season to the children at Bristol Children's Hospital."

The Grinch will once again take over the pier today and tomorrow.

He will return for another visit next year.
