A NEW Italian restaurant has opened its doors in Weston.

La Veneziana is a family-owned business on 25 Boulevard. Despite only having opened this month, all of the reviews it has received so far on Tripadvisor have been fantastic, with one commenter saying: "We tried this new restaurant last night and the food and service here were excellent!"

Another review reads: "We had a really nice meal, starters of calamari and arancini, very generous portions. The main courses were risotto and penne with salmon, both delicious.

"My husband then had the cheesecake while I could only manage a coffee. This was all accompanied with glasses of the house wine and rounded off with a complimentary limoncello.

"All in all a very enjoyable evening, we will definitely be eating there again."

A spokesperson from the company told the Weston Mercury: "We are an Italian family owned business with a passion for food. Being from Italy means that we grew up surrounded by fresh ingredients, delicious meals and family recipes filled with love passed down through generations.

"We wish to bring all of this to our beloved customers within our restaurant. Our ingredients are sourced from Italy and all of our food is freshly prepared for a true Italian experience.

"Being able to share our love of delicious food has been our dream for years and we are so grateful and excited to be able to be able to live that dream.

"When you come into our restaurant you will be greeted by one of our lovely staff who will offer you a seat in our bar area.

"Our bar has a modern yet classy feel complete with our prized neon sign and beautiful rose decorations. It’s the perfect place to peruse our menu and enjoy a glass of wine, a fruity cocktail or any other drink of your choice.

"Alternatively you could go straight through to your table where you will be presented with our diverse menu. We have options from pizza and pasta, to meat, fish and salads.

"We are excited to be bringing all of this to both locals and tourists and look forward to welcoming all to La Veneziana."
