AVON and Somerset Police is calling for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Uphill earlier this week.
The victim, a GP, said that he was jogging when he was assaulted and driven at by a delivery driver.
He was left with minor elbow and hip injuries. The offender left the scene before police arrived.
Police have carried out house-to-house enquiries. Witnesses are urged to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called shortly before 10.50am on Tuesday, January 2 to a report of a man being assaulted in Little Orchard, Uphill.
"An officer attended and spoke to the victim, who had minor elbow and hip injuries, however the offender had already left the scene.
"House to house enquiries have been carried out in the area and the investigation is continuing.
