NORTH Somerset's RSPCA branch is encouraging residents to tackle the Albert Goodman Weston Super Half Marathon to raise vital funds.

The centre, based in Brent Knoll, cares for abandoned and unwanted animals.

A spokesperson from the RSPCA said: "Is your New Year resolution to keep yourself fit? Could you take on the Weston Super Half Marathon?

"We have places available for the Weston Super Half on Sunday, March 24, 2024 and we are now very proud to have a Charity Partnership with the organisers of the event.

"If you feel like a new year running challenge and would like to join our team of runners who are helping us by raising much needed funds for the animals in our care, please let us know ASAP!

"Your partnership with our Branch will mean your entry fee is covered - all we ask is that you raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for the RSPCA North Somerset Branch. If you would like to sign up then please email: dawn.pawlett@rspcanorthsomerset.org.uk.

"Thank you for your support."
