THE deadline to apply for your child's reception or junior school place is "fast approaching."
North Somerset residents have until 11.59pm on Monday, January 15 to put in their application for a junior school place starting in September.
If you miss the deadline, your application will be considered in the spring.
Parents should be warned that applying late could decrease your child's chances of being accepted into your desired school.
A North Somerset Council spokesperson said: "The deadline to apply for a reception or junior school place is fast approaching.
"If your child is due to start school or transfer to junior school in September, make sure you’ve applied by 11.59pm on Monday, January 15. Apply at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/admissions.
"Applications made after the deadline will be considered in the spring. Applying late can significantly reduce your chances of being offered a place at your preferred schools."
