A FORMER water engineer from Weston-super-Mare is re-entering the Love Island villa for the upcoming All Star Series - where he will come face-to-face with ex Liberty Poole.

Jake Cornish, 26, previously partnered with Liberty Poole, 24, on the seventh series.

They left the show early after Liberty realised the relationship wasn't working. According to the Mail Online, Mr Cornish told ITV there is "no bad blood" between them.

He said: "We never ended with any bad blood between us and everything happens for a reason. We just become two different people in the end."

The Mail Online also revealed that Liberty is unaware of her ex's participation in the All Star series.

Aside from the couple, other Love Island legends are making a return to the villa include Georgia Harrison, Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi.

The line-up for the new All Stars series was confirmed on January 15.

The Weston Mercury previously reported that Mr Cornish is looking for loyalty and respect in his next relationship.

Before entering the villa in 2021 - where he was vying for the chance to win £50,000 - he said he had been single since lockdown hit after a seven-year relationship.

He said: "I was in a relationship for seven years and then when lockdown hit, I was single. The opportunity is there, you might as well take it by the horns and go for it.

“Looks wise, always gone for blondes. But for me, the main thing is having respect and having good fun, and someone who will be loyal to you.

“I’ve had messages from girls that have got boyfriends and husbands. This is why I don’t trust anyone. Someone who is loyal really. But when I’m single, I like having a good time.”

Mr Cornish added that his ideal partner would be Billie Faiers.

Love Island All Stars will launch on Monday, January 15.
