A WESTON-based volunteer group is holding a number of fundraisers in the New Year to support The Playhouse Theatre.
After starting 2024 with a coffee morning on January 6, The Friends Of The Playhouse are proceeding with their efforts.
A general knowledge quiz, scheduled for Saturday January 20 during the usual coffee morning, is set to be one of the highlights, with a charge of £1 per person to enter.
Even if you are not interested in taking part in the quiz, organisers encourage people to pay a visit and enjoy the event.
The group's efforts don't stop there.
On Saturday January 27, a quarterly draw of The Millenium Club will take place, promising a first prize of £50.
To reserve numbers, show up at the coffee morning and speak to a member of the committee.
The Friends Of The Playhouse has over 450 members.
If you are interested in becoming a member, it costs £15 a year.
Membership benefits include 15 per cent off selected shows, with a two-ticket cap per show, and a 15 per cent discount at the theatre and confectionery bars.
In addition, members can look forward to regular social events, a quarterly newsletter, days out and one free ticket on their birthdays.
Anyone can sign up at The Playhouse box office, either in person or over the phone.
