A "PERSISTENT beggar" located in a designated StreetSafe patrol area has been reported to court.
StreetSafe was designed to allow residents to report areas where they don't feel safe or secure.
This could be a dark alleyway, an area where there are no streetlights or places where large groups regularly hang out.
A spokesperson from the North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team said: "As part of the Neighbourhood Policing week, PC’s Whetren and Whitby from the Worle & Villages Neighbourhood Policing team have been out on patrol this morning in the local community.
"In the first couple of hours of their shift they have -
"• Positively engaged with a prolific anti-social behaviour offender by reminding them of their Criminal Behaviour Order.
"• Attended the local secondary school for school patrol and talks with the head teachers.
"• Reported a persistent beggar to court who was located in an designated StreetSafe patrol area."
