POLICE officers have been responding to reports of verbal harassment in a number of locations in and around Worle.

Officers have been made aware of people feeling unsafe through the Streetsafe app, where residents can express their concerns.

Speaking last week, a spokesperson from the beat team said: "Well it's been a busy week for the officers from the Worle and Villages Neighbourhood Policing Team who have been reviewing the Streetsafe data and responding to the information received.

"There have been a number of locations which keep reoccurring and these can be for a number of reasons such as poor lighting, no CCTV to some behavioural concerns such has verbal harassment.

"We've therefore been focusing our patrols in these particular areas.

"In addition, the team have been carrying out their normal school patrols, Beat surgeries, ASB Hotspot patrols and engagement with partner agencies and stakeholders."
