NORTH Somerset Council has received a report of razor blades being placed behind stickers in Weston.
Council officers, volunteers and the council's street cleansing service provider have all been made aware of this issue.
If you see anything that you think is suspicious, you are urged to report it to the Street Cleaning team.
A North Somerset Council spokesperson said: “The council has received a report that razor blades have been hidden behind stickers in Weston-super-Mare. We can’t confirm what was on these stickers, or their location.
“If residents spot anything concerning on North Somerset streets, we’d encourage them to report any issues to our Street Cleaning team via https://forms.n-somerset.gov.uk/report-request/form/streetcleaning#/1.”
An update made on the Weston and North Somerset plastic-free campaign Facebook page reads: "Please be vigilant if you are removing items whilst out litter picking.
"Take extra care and more time to look carefully and asses if a situation is safe."
