A ROCK BAND raised over £1,000 in memory of Evie Ruck with a charity gig.

Antic Aces were joined by family and friends when they held a concert and raised £1,310 for The Monkey Tree in memory of Evie, who sadly passed away after spending a few weeks in the BRI following an extremely rare cancer diagnosis.

Those attending the gig on Friday, February 2 at All Stars Sports Bar, were treated to a three-hour set with classics from Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, and Dire Straits.

Rob Stuart, Antic Aces lead guitarist who came up with the event idea (having grown up with Evie from the age of four) said after the event: “The total has been counted, and thank you to everyone who attended this gig in the name of Evie Ruck, we hope we did you proud.

“A total of £1,310 was raised for The Monkey Tree Charity and we couldn't be happier.

“To everyone who donated via tee-shirt sales, raffle ticket sales, donations on the night, and through Evie's just giving page - the utmost respect and thank you for spending the evening with us.

“If you missed this event there is still time to catch Antic Aces at the Front Room Central Walk Weston-super-Mare on Friday, February 16 (tickets available through ticket source - or at the door) where the band will still be collecting for The Monkey Tree in Evie's Memory.”
