THIS year's Weston Dairy Festival has been cancelled due to "escalating costs."

The festival, which usually takes place on the Beach Lawns, is held every year and showcases an array of local produce, live entertainment, and much more.

Posting on Facebook, a festival spokesperson said: "The Dairy Festival Charity Committee announces the cancellation of the 2024 Dairy Festival.

"After careful consideration and assessment, the event will not be going ahead this year.

"The decision to cancel the festival stems from the event no longer being financially viable due to escalating costs. Despite our best efforts, the increasing expenses have made it unsustainable to organise the festival this year.

"We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported the Dairy Festival over the past few years.

"Whether you traded, attended, volunteered, or simply showed your enthusiasm, your contributions have been invaluable and deeply appreciated."
