AN outdoor activity organiser based in Churchill has won big at the 2024 South West Tourism Awards.
Mendip Activity Centre achieved Gold at the local Bath, Bristol & Somerset Awards ceremony, which took place at the University of Exeter on Thursday, March 14.
The business also won a Silver for its Learn to Ski programme in the Tourism Experience category and a Bronze for their family campsite, Mendip Basecamp, in the Camping and Caravanning category.
Over 400 representatives from tourism businesses attended.
David Eddins, managing director at Mendip Activity Centre, said: "These awards are the result of months of hard work from our entire team.
"We're delighted for the recognition and can't wait to welcome more locals and visitors to discover skiing and to visit our off-grid adventure campsite."
Robin Barker, director of Services for Tourism Ltd, who manage the awards, added: “The impact of these awards on the region’s top tourism businesses never ceases to amaze me.
"It means so much to them. Many congratulations to each and every one of them."
