Military History Weekend is coming to The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare.
The charity fundraising event is scheduled for April 20 and 21.
This year's participating charities include The Royal British Legion, S.A.F.A and The Royal Air Force Association.
The museum's extensive terrain, including the restored WW2 era control tower and pilots block of Weston Airfield, will become a 1940s haven, featuring living history camps and various historic military vehicles from across the nation.
Event organiser, Jess Porter said: "This year will be better than ever with tank demonstrations, live firing displays, a Veterans Parade, a 1940’s singer and, weather permitting, flying visitors from the Gazelle Squadron."
She also expressed an excitement about the extended showcase, sharing that the event "will bring wartime history to life with displays centring on the home guard, British versus German armaments, wartime field kitchens and WW2 military vehicles."
Ms Porter stressed the essence of the gathering as a fantastic platform for learning and engaging with history.
She also emphasised the opportunity it offers to collaborate with fellow local charities for the ultimate good—raising crucial awareness and support needed for their causes.
The Helicopter Museum, known for possessing the world's largest collection of helicopters, gets a substantial boost from the Military History Weekend, which serves as its primary annual fundraising event.
