THE leader of North Somerset Council has confirmed that work is continuing to get Weston's floral clock "back into shape."
Speaking on Monday (April 29), Cllr Mike Bell said: "Work is continuing to get the floral clock in Weston back into shape for the summer.
"The hedge is being removed because it’s reached the end of its useful life and has been subject to repeated box tree moth caterpillar damage.
"The new planting is due to arrive tomorrow and hopefully we will be able to start doing that in the next couple of weeks.
"Please note that there will be two small unplanted circles in the initial phase because these are being left for annual planting which will take place in June.
"This annual planting will be themed with this year celebrating the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
"Well done our team and Councillor Mike Solomon for keeping the momentum going on this one."
