A FORMER Wetherspoon pub in Weston is on the market and seeking new management after permanently closing during lockdown.
The Dragon Inn, in Meadow Street, Weston-Super-Mare, is being marketed by Fleurets Limited, in the hope of finding a new leaseholder for the business, which hasn't been open as a pub for nearly five years.

The pub was most recently operated as a Wetherspoon pub until April 2021, when the popular pub chain refused to renew a lease on the social space. Its closure meant that Weston-super-Mare went from having two local spoons options to just one - with Cabot Court Hotel remaining open on Weston's seafront.
Speaking to the Mercury in 2021, a Wetherspoon spokesman said: “ We can confirm that we have served the break in our lease and won’t be reopening the Dragon Inn.
“We would like to thank our loyal customers for their support over the years as well as the excellent staff who worked at the pub.
“All staff have been offered alternative jobs at Wetherspoon pubs in the region. Wetherspoon will still have a presence in the town with its pub, Cabot Court Hotel.”
Listed via Rightmove, you can manage the Dragon Inn under an agreed lease plan of £5,000 per month (£60,000 p/a). The pub, which is located within a 7,606 sq ft area, has been internally stripped out since closure. This includes an empty cellar area.
A spokesperson for Rightmove added a description for those looking to manage the former Weston pub. It reads: "The property comprises a centre-terrace former public house, of brick construction under a pitched tile roof and is arranged over ground, first and second floors.
"The ground floor provides open plan trading space, whilst the first floor accommodates ancillary storage and staff changing facilities. A manager’s flat occupies part of the first floor and all of the second floor. There is a small, enclosed yard to the rear of the property, providing a number of external covers."
