A seafront waterpark in Weston-super-Mare has reopened today (May 16).

The splash pad, at Water Adventure Play Park on Knightstone Road, has been temporarily closed since April due to "essential maintenance".

Bu the popular children's facility has now reopened and will be operating daily.

In a Facebook post, the park said: "Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while we worked to get everything back up and running.

"We know many of you have been looking forward to its return, and we’re pleased to confirm that the water is officially back on.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming families and visitors back for plenty of splashing fun over the coming weeks.

"Thank you again for bearing with us while the works were carried out, we cannot wait to see you all enjoying the Waterpark again."

Alongside the splash pad, Water Adventure Play Park also includes a playground, kiosk and visitor information centre.

The seafront attraction is open daily, from 10am-5pm, and is £3 per child, with free same day re-entry.
