The leader of North Somerset Council has called on parents to consider letting children stay up late to watch England's next World Cup match.
Mike Bell made the appeal after England secured their place in the last 16 with a 2-1 victory over DR Congo on Wednesday, July 1.
England's clash against Mexico kicks off at 1am on Monday, July 6.
In a statement, Councillor Bell acknowledged the late start time would make it difficult for younger supporters but said occasions like this were "made to be shared".
He said: "So I’m asking parents and carers across North Somerset to consider suspending bedtime, just this once, for children and young people who want to stay up and cheer on the Three Lions."

The council leader also urged schools to show flexibility on Monday morning.
He suggested options could include a later start to the school day, a lunchtime start or leniency towards pupils who arrive late.
"Let's give young fans the chance to sleep off the nerves, the noise and hopefully the celebrations," he said.
"This is about letting children be part of a special national moment.
"They should not have to miss out on England's progress because of the fixture list and an overseas tournament with challenging time zones."
Councillor Bell said the decision remains a matter for parents and carers but argued that, with support from schools, young fans could continue backing England throughout the tournament.
"Parents' choice of course, but with schools' flexibility, North Somerset can continue backing England all the way," he added.
