MOTORISTS have been seen leaving their vehicles on the M5 in Somerset after traffic was brought to a standstill following an ongoing incident.
On Saturday afternoon (July 25), emergency services were spotted responding to an incident on a stretch of motorway between Junction 19 (Gordano Interchange) and Junction 20 (Clevedon).
The response only affected drivers heading southbound, with several emergency service vehicles at the scene whilst traffic was held.
This is an ongoing incident at the time of this report.

Dionne John, who is caught in the congestion, said: "Stuck on M5 right now, everyone getting out their cars."

National Highways is reporting delays of up to "96 minutes against expected traffic" whilst traffic is stopped.
