The chair of a football club in Worle has stepped down after 17 seasons of service.
Dave Knight, who helped establish Worle Rangers FC in 2009, has been at the helm of the club for 12 of those 17 seasons and has played a key role in its growth and success.
He was part of a small group of friends who founded the club, which began its journey in the Weston and District League.
Under his leadership, the club has expanded to include Saturday teams, a veterans side, a women’s team, and an under-18s squad.
A spokesperson for Worle Rangers FC said: "It is impossible to tell the story of Worle Rangers without telling the story of Dave.
"Thank you, Dave.
"Thank you for creating Worle Rangers.
"Thank you for keeping it going.

"Thank you for giving so many players the opportunity to play football.
"And thank you for helping build a club that can now look towards its next chapter with genuine optimism."
During his time with the club, Worle Rangers has celebrated 11 promotions, including three as division champions, and has reached four cup finals, winning one.
Dave said: "After 17 years, it’s time for me to take a step back.
"We couldn’t have achieved what we have without the support of all of our committee members along the way, and with Merv taking the helm after being one of them for so long alongside me, I can’t think of a better time to do it."
He will continue to be involved with the club as under-18s manager.
The club spokesperson added: "From all of us at Worle Rangers FC - players, managers, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and everyone who has been part of the journey - thank you for everything you’ve done for Worle Rangers."
