Weston-super-Mare Grape Tree opens expanded Sovereign store

Grape Tree, based inside The Sovereign shopping centre, has completed work to extend into a neighbouring unit, creating a larger retail space for customers.

The opening was announced by The Sovereign on social media, alongside photographs of the refurbished store and staff team.

Sharing photos of the refurbished store and staff team, The Sovereign said: "Your new bigger, brighter Grape Tree is open today. Come on down and buy all your usual favourites."

The opening comes just weeks after the retailer revealed plans to expand its presence within The Sovereign.

At the end of September, Grape Tree announced it would be taking over the neighbouring unit to create a larger store while remaining open throughout the refurbishment works.

The company said at the time that the additional space would allow it to expand its growing product range and provide a better shopping experience for customers.

A spokesperson said the investment reflected the support the business had received from local shoppers.

Grape Tree sells a range of nuts, dried fruits, seeds, snacks and health foods, alongside vitamins and supplements.

The retailer said the enlarged premises would provide more room for customers to browse its products, including larger pack sizes that have become popular with regular shoppers.

The opening marks the completion of the project, which has seen the business expand beyond its previous footprint inside The Sovereign.

The shopping centre, which sits between Weston-super-Mare High Street and the seafront, is home to a mix of national retailers, independent businesses, cafes and services.
