A brownie pack in Weston is just a year away from celebrating its 100th birthday next October.

The 3rd Weston Brownies group is looking to invite its previous pack leaders to join in with the celebrations next year.

More than 20 brownie members and ladies who had once been group leaders and guide helpers all took part in the event on October 17.

Group leader, Lindsay Mckirgan, hopes lots of people will get involved in the initiative.

She said: “Next year we are hoping to hold a weekend exhibition to showcase 100 years worth of photos and stories to share the brownie pack’s story.

“We hope this will include uniforms, handbooks, badges and flags from across the years.”

The group is appealing to people with stories or memorabilia who have volunteered, or known those who have, with the brownies division to get in touch.

To get involved in the celebrations, email Lindsay at mckirgan@gmail.com
