PICK up a craft bargain, put your brain to the test or learn about the history of Weston-super-Mare this weekend.

Craft fair

craft fair is being held at the Winter Gardens in Royal Parade on Saturday. Items on sale will include jewellery, soft toys, knitwear and glasswork, plus many more bargains.

The event will be running from 9.30am-5pm and entry is £1, or 80p for concessions. Children accompanied by an adult can get in for free.

History exhibition

Learn more about the history of Worle with a three-day history exhibition at Worle Library, in The Maltings.

It is running from 10am-6pm today (Friday( with two sessions on Saturday, from 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-4pm. Among other things, there will be maps, old photographs, and slides on display.

Charity quiz

Quiz fans should go down to a charity quiz night for Worlebury and Kewstoke Friends of Weston Hospicecare at Worlebury golf club in Monks Hill at 7.30pm on Friday.

Teams of up to six people can enter, at a cost of £20 per table, and basket meals will be available to buy on the night.

Tickets can be bought from Sue on 01934 624889, with all proceeds going to the Hospicecare.

History of listed buildings

Weston’s National Trust branch will receive a talk from Raye Green on Worle’s listed buildings on Friday, at Corpus Christi Church hall in Ellenborough Park South at 7.15pm.

100 years in Bleadon

A celebration of Bleadon’s past 100 years will be held at the hall in Coronation Road on Saturday, starting at 7.30pm.

It will include a slideshow of images and entry is £5, to help raise money for the hall. To get your ticket, visit Bleadon Country Stores in Purn Way or call 01934 811976.
