PEOPLE camped out on the beach in Weston-super-Mare last night (Thursday) for the chance to be the first to see Banksy's Dismaland exhibition.

Hundreds of people queued from as early as 6am to get into the street artist’s latest show, which is being held in the Tropicana.

The Mercury exclusively announced Banksy’s arrival in Weston on its front page yesterday and announced 1,000 wristbands would be handed out for a locals-only viewing of Dismaland – an idea put forward by Banksy himself.

A huge queue stretched far beyond the Seaquarium, with hundreds of eager North Somerset people waiting for a first glimpse at the bemusement park.

Dismaland will also host a number of musical events and Massive Attack have already been confirmed, to be headlining on September 25 alongside Kate Tempest and Pussy Riot.
