A helping hand on offer

A NEW support group for those who have experienced the trials of cancer has been set up.
The Fuschia Group meets at Worlebury Golf Club in Weston on Thursday mornings.
It is a self-help group for people who have experienced cancer at close hand, whether as a patient or as a relative or carer.
It provides an opportunity to share experiences, thoughts and fears in a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere, over a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.
Although members do not offer advice, they will try to direct enquiries appropriately, for example to the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre or to support groups or on a one-to-one basis if needed.
The group has the support of Worle Lions Club.
