A PROPOSAL over a school diary system led to the marriage of two Weston teachers.

A PROPOSAL over a school diary system led to the marriage of two Weston teachers.

Broadoak's two love birds married earlier this month at the Commodore Hotel in Sand Bay.

Maths teacher Ryan Aves, aged 23, married head of music Naomi on January 16 and announced their wedding to pupils last week.

Ryan said: "To propose I sent her an appointment through the school calendar system for our wedding.

"Then I received a text back with a smiley face on it."

Naomi, aged 29, started dating Ryan after he helped her out with the school choir. To return the favour she allowed him to park his car in her garage.

They also both share a love of music and are currently working on the school's production of Fame together.

Although the couple have not had a chance to honeymoon yet, Ryan has promised to surprise Naomi with a trip away later in the year.

*Fame will performed at the school in May. To register for tickets call 01934 422000.
