A370 closed after collision involving cyclist

A major commuter route has been closed this morning (Friday) after a collision involving a cyclist.

The A370 Bridgwater Road has been closed in both directions from Stevens Lane to Accommodation Road near Bleadon and traffic is building in the area.

A diversion through Lympsham has been set up via Accommodation Road.

The incident, which is believed to have involved a cyclist being knocked off their push bike, happened at around 7.40am.

Police are now working to reopen the road.
