Pupils and staff from four Weston and Worle schools have been handed a free early Easter gift.

Almost 4,000 annual passes for the Grand Pier have been given out to students and staff at Priory and Worle Community Schools and St Anne’s and Castle Batch Primary Schools.

The gift is the latest development in a relationship between the pier and the Priory Learning Trust which has ‘flourished’ over the past six years.

It is also part of the pier’s ongoing efforts to support community groups in the town.

Pier co-owner Michelle Michael said: “The commitment shown by everyone working at the trust is something we should all be proud of, and is ensuring so many children are gaining a high-quality education which will benefit them for life.

“Of course such hard work deserves to be rewarded, and this year we are delighted to offer this special gift to our friends at the trust.”
