Accident on M5 closes two lanes after accident involving two lorries

There are two lanes closed on the M5 northbound this morning (Friday) after an accident involving two lorries near Weston-super-Mare.
There is queuing traffic as a result of the accident which is causing heavy delays and traffic build up at junction 21 for Weston and 22 for Burnham-on-Sea.
Traffic was held up for around 10 minutes at 5.41am while the lorry was moved onto the hard shoulder.
The Mercury understands traffic is moving but emergency services are on the scene.
This accident is also causing delays getting onto the M5 from Weston.
There are now severe delays of 40 minutes, which are likely to increase on Flowerdown Bridge eastbound between the A370 Hutton Moor Roundabout and M5.
The average speed is five miles per hour and people are thought to be trying to find alternative routes to their destination.
UPDATE, 9.54am: M5 delays expected to last hours as emergency resurfacing required.
UPDATE, 11.53am: Normal traffic conditions are expected between 1.45pm and 2pm.
