TEN affordable homes have been given the green light, along with new offices for their management firm.

South Western Housing Society has been given permission to build the houses, which will be let to those who qualify for affordable housing, on two separate sites by Sedgemoor District Council.

Four two-storey homes will now be built at the former Crossways Farm south of Brent Road, East Brent, and another six will be built on land south of Ashlawn Farm, Pill Road, Rooksbridge.

Disused farm buildings at Ashlawn Farm will also be converted into the society’s offices.
