'Afraid to go out' after robbery attempt

A WORLE man was left 'upset and shaken' when two would-be robbers demanded cash from him on Saturday evening.

A WORLE man was left 'upset and shaken' when two would-be robbers demanded cash from him on Saturday evening.

The man was waiting at a bus stop on Queensway when he was approached by two men.

One pressed an unknown object to his head and demanded cash, while the other tried to grab a carrier bag from the victim's arm.

Police Sergeant Gareth Starr said: "The victim was extremely upset and shaken by this incident so much so that he is scared to go out.

"We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident and I would ask them to contact us if they can assist us with our investigation."

The first offender is described as a white man of stocky build with short dark brown hair who was wearing short striped dirty tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is described as thin and was wearing a plain hooded top.
