Age UK Somerset is starting a new class in Weston-super-Mare which will involve moving to music.

The charity will be launching the sessions at Victoria Methodist Church in Station Road on November 7.

Classes cater to people of all abilities, and the emphasis is on using exercise to promote happiness and boost health.

Nikki Smith, co-ordinator for the scheme, said: “It helps you to feel more relaxed, it gently stretches your muscles and strengthens your joints, while improving your balance.

“These classes can help you develop more strength, flexibility, energy and better health in general.”

Movement to music classes are held as part of the charity’s ageing well service, run by fully-trained instructors.

The classes will take place at 12.30pm and cost £4.
