A 21-YEAR-OLD student from Milton will be teaching young women a slightly unusual form of exercise to help them get fit.Aimee Davies is starting up pole dancing lessons at The Borough Arms pub in Locking Road, Weston. The Bath Spa University student currently practices her chosen sport in her mum Dawn and dad Neil's living room in Milton Road, Weston. After taking lessons herself in Bristol she decided to show other young women how dancing around a pole can help you get fit.Aimee, who is studying for a degree in nutrition, says the activity has become a real family affair. The former Worle Community School and Weston College student said: "My mum and dad have had a go and I am hoping to train my younger sister Zoe. I was feeling quite low a few moths ago and started taking the lessons in Bristol. Then I had the idea to start it up here. "When I told my boyfriend he got the wrong idea. But it's not sleazy it's about fitness."I will start at beginners' level and people who want to improve will have the opportunity to take an advanced class where they can learn harder tricks."In the beginners' class I will teach dance moves, spins and floor work."It helps with flexibility and keeps people supple if they want to take part in other sports."Aimee's classes will be held on a Wednesday from 6.45-8.15pm as soon as she has enough people join. Anyone who is interested should call her on 01934 416805.
