The Great Western Air Ambulance landed at the Morrisons roundabout on the A370, near West Wick, at around 12.30pm today (Tuesday).

It is believed the cyclist is being taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary with a suspected head injury.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said: “We are supporting the air ambulance with a road closure.

“We closed the road to allow the air ambulance to land and it will be closed again to allow it to take off for hospital.”
