AN 18-year-old Weston air cadet will be representing the unit against the sea and army cadets at the national Royal Air Force Museum in London.
Flight Sergeant Ben Price, of the 290 squadron, has been given the honour after winning the Devon and Somerset wings aircraft recognition title for the third year in a row as well as the south west regional title.
Flt Sgt Price, who is due to join the RAF next year as a firefighter, now trains the squadron to recognise both civilian and military aircraft.
He said: “This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for 290 squadron and myself.
“I am extremely proud of representing the corps and this will be a unique challenge.”
